Another Win For Uncharted 2 : Among Thieves

The folks over at Gamespot UK have awarded Uncharted 2 : Among Thieves their Game Of The Year. This adds to Uncharted’s 2009 Spike Video Game Award. Is this a strong indication of how the voting is going to go for this years BAFTA?

Sony to bring 3D to PS3 in Summer Firmware Update

We covered the possibility of EA creating 3D games a little while ago, now it’s taken a huge step closer with the lastest news from Sony.

James Bond Returns in……….

Activision have promised us a new title based on the James Bond franchise for 2010. Quantum Of Solace wasn’t a bad game (certainly better than the film) but still was a long way short of the classic Goldeneye, let’s hope Activision raise the bar again.

I’m really hoping that Batman : Arkham Asylum receives the recognition it deserves at this years Game British Academy Video Games Awards.

BAFTA 2010 Video Game Awards – Short List Announced

Last years winners included SUPER MARIO GALAXY which picked up Best Game, LittleBigPlanet walked away with Artistic Achievement, PROFESSOR LAYTON AND THE CURIOUS VILLAGE was the Handheld of choice and Left 4 Dead took home the Multiplayer award. On Friday 19 March the great and good of the gaming world will assemble at BAFTA HQ for this years GAME British Academy Video Game Awards.

Are Collectors Editions Worth The Extra Money?

I’ve always been a sucker for an exclusive/collectors/special edition. Release a movie in a slightly different case or chuck on an extra “making of” documentary and just show me the way to chip and pin machine. But these things are becoming more and more common, you’ve got to start asking yourself what you actually get.

EA Sports to start developing 3D games!

In a recent interview EA Sports executive Peter Moore confirmed that once 3D takes place in the games industry then EA Sports will start building 3D games.
