Official – Spider-Man games “suck”

Hardly the message that marketing types dream of – Activision CEO Bobby Kotick has said that “Our Spider-Man games have sucked for the last five years”.

Everything since Spider-Man 2 has been pretty awful. Spider-Man 3, Friend or Foe and Web of Shadows have received pretty bad reviews, so bad in fact that even I (The most dedicated Spidey fan) has avoided Friend or Foe and Web of Shadows.

Mass Effect 2 is the long awaited sequel from the team over at Bioware. The Game is set for release on January 26, 2010 if you live in the States and January 29 for the UK and Europe. Mass Effects 2 was recently Demo at CES and received a very warm reception.

Star Wars Old Republic Delayed To 2012

A friend of mine asked why I hadn’t featured Star Wars Old Republic in my hottest games of 2010 article, well the reason is I’m afraid this little gem has been delayed until next year (It’s only January and I’m already saying next year).

Star Wars Old Republic looks like it will be the end of my marriage, career, social life and the need to leave the house – ever again. Based around 3,500 before the rise of Darth Vader, you’ll select whether you want to be Sith, Jedi or another role from within the universe then you’ll play as your character with your decisions and action affecting the gameplay and story line.

Top 5 PS3 Exclusives for 2010

We took  a look at the hottest releases across all platforms but at the end of the day its the exclusive titles that are the real difference when it comes to the different platforms. So here we’ll take a look at, what we consider to be, the biggest PS3 exclusives for this year.

2010 Hottest Releases

2009 was a great year for gaming,  the quality of the software has just been awesome. To think just it was only just over a year ago I was being wowed by LittleBigPlanet and now I’ve been treated to Ghostbusters, Batman : Arkham Asylum, Modern Warfare 2, DJ Hero, Beatles Rock Band, Madden X and Guitar Hero 5.  But it’s a new year, so we look to the future - Let’s kick things off with a quick look at this years most anticipated games.
